April 12th - Hey Mike!  How's this for closure?  LOL!  

As you know, Electricity is getting very expensive.  So we've got a new Hot Tub set-up to save some $$$.  It seems to be a real hit!!!  Hah!

 Wow!  Look how much snow melted in 3 days!  It's very warm and conditions are deteriorating rapidly!  Our parking lot is bare now.  The lakes are watery....... Don't think the ice bridges will last much longer.

WARNING!  The water level has dropped considerably in the Magpie Reservoir, creating one set of humps that are hard to see when there's poor visibility (like today).  

  This is what can happen when you don't see the humps at 100 mph...... not quite a meltdown...

Feb 8, 05 - HUNDREDS of phone calls coming in on the 1-800 number.  Here's a few of our favourite questions from this morning:

1.  Is it snowing in the Soo right now?

2.  What are the trail conditions going to be like in Elliot Lake 2 weeks from now?

3.  I have a plan to ride to Thunder Bay but it says online that the trail is closed from Nipigon to Thunder Bay.  Can we do it?

I'll let everyone know that I just put an on-line order in for a Crystal Ball.  But we do live in Wawa, and the Horse and Buggy delivery service is usually a little slow.  It will take some time.  

Oh yah - I forgot about this one too - 

4. (7 AM this call came in.)   "Is Room 27 still there?" Of course we were sleeping and told her that we don't know, but we can transfer the call to the room.  She said, "Oh no.  I don't want to wake them."     WTF?
