Nothing "SECURE" is feasible for a small motel like ours - opened seasonally. BUT, we do understand that guests want to book online. We run our Motel on Good Karma! Send me an email and I'll book you in without a credit card. I'll hold the room till a reasonable hour. Travel with the Toll Free number (It'll be on the map I email you) and you can give us a call if you think you may be later, or have to cancel, or if you want to guarantee a very late arrival with your credit card. We understand that our guests are travelers, and can get ahead of or behind schedule. We make it easy for people to cancel a room reservation hassle free, and absolutely no cancellation fees. John and I trust people in this business and treat eveyone like friends. We run our Place with our Hearts and not our Heads. lol! We wouldn't do it any other way. All About Mo & John John was born and raised in the Toronto area, and I was born and raised in Sault Ste Marie. We met at our place of work, The Convention Inn Hotel, in Edmonton, Alberta, way back in 1981. I worked in the Diningroom for 20 years. John was there for 16 years, eventually becoming the Executive Chef.
We Lived for traveling and gambling! Check out our Casino Chip Collection! John's an avid Poker Player now, and plays online. No need to travel to casinos to make the $$$ anymore! We purchased the Northern Lights Motel & Restaurant Oct 31, 1999. What a Challenge! We didn't know anything about running a Motel. Our first few weeks here, things were not running smoothly, we had no customers, (It was November - there are NO customers) and poor John would lay in bed thinking..... "I think we made a big mistake." lol! But over 8 years later, business is Great! People describe our rooms as more of a "Bed and Breakfast" feel to them. They are overflowing with amenities, and filled with jokes and cartoons to make you laugh. (We HATE motels that have signs everywhere that YELL at you. lol) Many of our guests leave comments like, "You make Traveling Fun!" Hey! That's what we are here for!! Drive to Nevada November 2006 - We hit 23 casinos collecting more chips!
Vegas sure changed since we've been there!! We LOVED what they did with downtown!
Had a great time meeting up with my brother Rob and his girlfriend Carmen! Here we are at Mandalay Bay. What a fabulous buffet they have there. Wow! Vegas...... the land of Buffets. lol
We toured The Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. Wow!
The Bellagio Water Show is spectacular!
Had to check out the view at the Stratosphere!! No.... we didn't go on that ride!! YIKES!!

October 2005 - We managed to make a few trips down to New Orleans before Katrina Hit. We LOVED our favourite casino of all time - the Beau Rivage in Biloxi. We'll have to get back there again soon. Here's some pics of us, with my brother Rob, on Bourbon Street - drinking Hurricanes, Hand Grenades and Huge Ass Beers!
