Our Cute Fat Groundhog is back!

Here's a cool picture of our good Friend, Joanne Jost, with Johnny Chan. Joanne Hosted the Johnny Chan Poker Classic in British Columbia in May.

Ken Reece was back in our neck of the woods with his new camera! The pictures are awesome!

Rob just got back from biking in Moab Utah - here's a cool pic of him. I think a parachute would be more fitting than a helmet!

April 21 - Kevin and the gang are here to ride! Get this - a Canadian Customs Officer turned one truck around at the border and told them to go wash their ATVs! Yep, don't be bringing in any of that foreign mud! lol! Funny thing is, the last time they rode was in Canada, and it was Canadian Mud. Just a reminder to all you American ATVers - to avoid that hassle, be sure to clean your ATVs before you cross the borders. Who knows? Maybe a Pine Beetle is hiding in that mud?

Yikes!! Can't imagine what the outcome would have been if we were in a car!

April 5th - Yep, biggest snow storm all winter has buried us, but it's not over. Still more snow to come! The wind is so strong, there's a ton of drifting. Can't really say how much snow fell.

Forget about burying Beer Cases! We are working on burying the HOT TUB!!

Lets Face It - We've all been frustrated with Exams!

Got a couple inches of the white stuff!! I see that Dubreuilville's trail system is now considered OPENED again!

Mar 13 The Canadian is not showing yet, but it's going to be warm today.

Last year, I posted these pics of the Snow Gauge and Wrote -

We are seeing a pattern now. The Canadian Snow Gauge is quite consistent! They start grooming and building ice bridges after the 2nd case - the case of Canadian, is buried. The trails close once the case of Canadian becomes visible.

Ken Reece put on 660 Miles over the weekend. He said the further north he went the better the conditions But it's definitely Spring Riding, that's for sure! Fabulous Sunset and Wildlife pics as always!!

3 cases buried in 2006. Our trail wasn't opened yet. The trail from the Soo to Halfway Haven just opened this day last year.

in 2005, all trails were opened and we were burying the Coors Light! The 4th case.

Jan 23, 2007 - We buried the BLUE!!

You can tell by the Path, that there's not a lot of snow.

We almost buried the Blue!! Put the Plow on the truck for the 2nd time this winter! Yahoooo!

2 cases buried. The groomers had opened the D Trail already. Our trail 3 was not opened yet.

The Snowmobile Clubs REALLY needed that snow!! The Trail from Dubreuilville to Hornepayne is Limited with Low Snow. Manitouwadge is reporting 11 inches of snow and cannot groom yet.

2 cases buried in the years past, but the Trails were not opened yet for New Years Day. Remember Sledders - we need tons of snow and cold to build ice bridges and to cover the rocky terrain. The Sno-Riders aren't going to be sending their Beautiful NEW Groomer out on a foot of snow and open swamps, just because it's January. lol!

December 14, 06 - Just got back from the Soo. The snow is gone in the Soo. Here's a pic of Bathtub Island.

SNOW CAKE opens this Friday in theaters! This movie was filmed in Wawa, and stars Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman and Carrie Anne Moss. Weaver said she laughs when people ask why the filmmakers built a huge goose for the movie. "It's just there," she says. lol!

The first scene takes place in the dining room of the Family Kitchen. Sigourney & Carrie Anne's homes are located behind the Value Mart. You'll also see JJ's Diner in Hawk Junction, Some local stores and the goose of course.

Speaking of Freezing over - this Rare Photo was taken in 1911 when it was so cold that Niagara Falls Froze over! Wow! Must have been one heck of a cold year! (I recall Superior Freezing over in 1978 and 2002)

December 5 - Looks like 4 inches of powder on the top of the Coors Light!!

December 4 - It's snowing! Remember, we have to bury the Blue and the Canadian before the Club even thinks of grooming.

Here's a shot from last March that Sean sent - a bridge collapse (Spring Hazard). So glad he's still smiling! lol! We need a TON of snow to build these ice bridges on the trail system in our area.

October 13th - Our first snow storm of the year. The highway is closed.

The Moose Hunters in Chalet 1 had this picture! Now that's one BIG ASS MOOSE! Yikes!

September 25th - Guests of our last night told us that they were going to stay at the Best Western in Sault Ste Marie, but they were on their High Season rates of $175.00! Yikes!

July 31st - finally made it to Sandy Beach again. 6 PM and the water was gorgeous.

July 27th - A fabulous day at Bathtub Island! I parked at Katherine Cove and hiked the Coastal Trail to the beach at Bathtub Island. About a 25 minute hike. Easier walking if you walk 1/2 mile from the Katherine Cove parking lot, south on the highway. You'll notice the path going through the forest.
